We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices. By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account Information: Email address, phone number, display name, username, and date of birth
• Profile Information: Profile photo and any other information you choose to add to your profile
• Communications: Messages, feedback, and support requests you send to us

Information Collected Automatically

• Location Data: GPS coordinates collected in the background to enable core features
• Movement Data: Type of movement (walking, running, cycling) for trip tracking
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
• Usage Data: App interactions, features used, and time spent in the app
• Hexagon Statistics: Data about hexagons you've visited and explored
• Rewards Data: WeeBee Coins balance, coin transaction history (earnings and redemptions), and voucher redemption records

Information from Third Parties

If you sign in using Google, Apple, or similar providers, we receive basic profile information as permitted by your authentication provider settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the Service: Enable core features like territory claiming, trip tracking, and leaderboards
• Personalize Experience: Customize content and recommendations based on your activity

4. Location Data

How We Use Location Data

• Track your movements to record trips and claim hexagonal territories
• Convert GPS coordinates to H3 hexagon identifiers (~500m resolution)
• Calculate statistics for leaderboards and achievements
• Enable competition features with other users

What We Do NOT Do

• We do NOT sell your location data to third parties
• We do NOT use your location data for advertising purposes
• We do NOT share precise location with other users (only aggregated hex data)

You can disable background location at any time through your device settings, though this will limit the app's functionality.

5. Data Sharing

Public Information

Your profile information (display name, username, profile photo) and game statistics (hexes visited, leaderboard rankings) are visible to other WeeBee users.

Service Providers

We share data with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the Service, including cloud hosting, analytics, subscription management (RevenueCat), rewards fulfillment (Xoxoday), and customer support. Only order reference data (product, denomination, order number) is shared with Xoxoday for voucher fulfillment — no personal information is transmitted. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information when required by law, legal process, or government request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

6. Payment and Subscription Data

What We Collect

When you subscribe to WeeBee Plus or WeeBee Premium, we collect and store your subscription tier, purchase history, and subscription status (active, expired, or cancelled).

Payment Processing

All payment transactions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card numbers, bank account details, or other payment credentials.

Third-Party Subscription Management

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements across platforms. RevenueCat receives anonymized purchase data from Apple and Google to verify your subscription status. See their Privacy Policy for details on their data practices.

Data Retention

Purchase records and subscription history are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with financial record-keeping requirements.

Rewards and WeeBee Coins

We track your WeeBee Coins balance, earning history (from green commute activities such as walking and metro usage), and voucher redemption records to operate the rewards program.

Voucher fulfillment is processed through Xoxoday. Only order reference data (product identifier, denomination, and order number) is sent to Xoxoday — your personal information is not shared with them. See their Privacy Policy for details on their data practices.

Coin balance, earning history, and redemption records are retained while your account is active.

7. Data Retention

• Active Accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account is active
• Deleted Accounts: Personal data is purged within 30 days of account deletion
• Anonymized Data: Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for analytics and service improvement
